Kidz CARE is a unique way for 1st through 6th graders to learn about ministering to others. We have four tables set up with a different ministry at each table. The ministries are Church birthdays, elderly/shut-in and church staff encouragement, prayer requests or church encouragement, and missionaries. Two of the ministries involve writing letters and praying for that person, one involves making cards, and the other one usually involves coloring a picture. You might wonder: how do the kids have time to do all this in one hour? I am "armed" with a stop watch and a whistle. Every ten minutes I blow the whistle and the kids move to another table. Within 40-45 minutes (give or take) we are finished. If we finish early enough we read letters that have been sent to us, play games, or have a brief Bible lesson (no books, just spur of the moment "food for thought"). The kids love it, I love it, and we learn about ministering and reaching out to others. In return our lives are touched and ministries are changed. Come join us anytime!
