GriefShare: Grief Recovery Support Group

GriefShare: Grief Recovery Support Group

GRIEF SHARE SUPPORT GROUP
HELD ON WEDNESDAYS
BEGINNING WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 3, 2018
FROM 6:15 PM - 7:30 PM

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you've lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you've probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. GriefShare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life.

Each GriefShare session includes a video seminar and group discussion. A workbook assists you with note-taking, journaling and grief study. The videos features top experts on grief recovery, dramatic reenactments about living with grief and real-life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours. Small group discussion time includes the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a recent loss, learn about their experiences and share your own.

GriefShare is a non-denominational group and features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics.

GriefShare is 13 weeks long.  The class will be held on Wednesdays from 6:15 pm - 7:30 pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 830 North Jones Avenue, Rock Hill, SC. Participant workbook is $17.00. You may attend any or all classes. There is no special sequence, each class is self contained. Our meetings focus on four main activities: lesson, testimony, small group discussion, and a workbook that provides opportunities for meditation on scripture between sessions.

Who Should Come … Who Should Not
GriefShare is for people grieving the death of a loved one. Many other life situations bring deep grief, such as separation and divorce, a loved one who is dying, estrangement, loss of a loved one to a cult, loss of custody of a child through divorce and more. If you are struggling with a loss not due to a death, GriefShare is not designed to meet your grief needs for healing. We encourage you to ask your pastor or a church leader for guidance in finding a support group or counselor.
